Offline Document Tool — an on-device document scanner and image utility.

Effective date: October 9, 2026 · Last updated: October 9, 2026

In short

1. Who we are

This policy describes how Offline Document Tool ("the app", package com.offlinedoctool.app) handles information. The app is published on Google Play by:

Yuvi Labs

This document applies to the Android app distributed through Google Play. It is written to match what the released app actually does.

2. Information the app accesses on your device

The app asks for access only when a feature needs it, and uses what it accesses to perform the task you asked for:

Access When it is used Why
Camera Only when you choose to scan a page. It is requested at that moment, not on launch. To photograph a document page that you asked to scan.
Photos and media Only for the images you explicitly select. To import images you choose, and to save a generated result to your photo library when you ask for it.
Files and folders you pick Only when you choose a destination or open a file. To write the single file you asked the app to save, or to open a file you asked to view.

On Android 13 and above the app requests access to images only — not video, not audio. Audio recording (the microphone) is explicitly blocked: the app can capture still images only.

Picking a photo copies it into the app's own storage for processing. The file you picked is only ever read; it is not modified, moved or deleted.

3. Information we collect and share

We do not collect or share your personal information. The app has no account system, no developer-operated backend and no developer-operated cloud storage, so there is no channel through which we receive your images, documents or personal details.

The app contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not track you across apps, and we do not sell data.

The app stores its working data (your documents, generated files, settings and local history) on your device only. Nothing in that store is transmitted to us.

4. Google Play services and Google ML Kit Document Scanner

The scanning feature uses the Google ML Kit Document Scanner component, which is delivered through Google Play services.

Document processing is designed to occur on the device. Google Play services may download the ML Kit document-scanner components required for the scanning feature. Because that component can be downloaded on first use, the app does not claim that it never uses the network, or that scanning works offline from the very first install. Once the component is present on your device, scanning runs on-device.

The ML Kit SDK is Google's software, not ours. Google publishes which data its ML Kit Android SDKs collect; according to Google's ML Kit data disclosure page, ML Kit SDKs collect device information (such as manufacturer, model and OS version), application information (package name and app version), device or other identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, feature version, event type and error codes, and use them for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and is not shared with third parties.

That collection is performed by Google's component under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive it and we do not add any collection of our own. It does not include the content of your documents: ML Kit records feature input and output sizes, not your images.

For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and the ML Kit terms.

5. Where your data is stored, and for how long

Everything the app creates is stored locally, in storage that belongs to the app on your device:

This data stays until you remove it. You can clear the app's stored copies and history from the app's Settings at any time, and uninstalling the app removes its private storage. Files you exported to your photo library or to a folder you picked are yours: they live outside the app, and the app cannot delete them afterwards.

6. Security

Because processing is local, your documents are not exposed to transmission in the normal course of using the app. The app's own files live in its private, app-scoped storage on your device, which other apps cannot read. Where the operating system or Google Play services handles transmission (for the ML Kit component described above), Google states that the data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. The strongest protection here is structural: there is no developer-operated server holding your data at all.

7. Children's privacy

Offline Document Tool is a general-purpose document utility for a general audience. It is not directed at children, it has no social features, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL and the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected in the app's Play listing release notes.
